This bowl was turned from spalted beech from National Trust's Ashridge Estate, Herts and painted with all natural milk paint.

I turn most of the bowls twice; once while it is fresh, and then again about 6 months later when it has finished changing shape as it dries.

This bowl is part of a series of once turned bowls, this means the bowl is not symetrical, it has a wavy rim and heaps of character.

The bowl is sealed and finished with food-safe oils and Hertswood Wood Goo

This product comes with a handwritten card containing care instructions and explaining more about the wood and where it came from.

The bowl measures approximately 80mm in height and 160mm in diameter.
